The CIRM, a partner of national and international research infrastructures

CIRM has been awarded the INRAE Collective Research Infrastructure (CRI) label

CIRM coordinates the microbial pillar of the national infrastructure AgroBRC-RARe, which gathers French BRCs of interest for agronomic and environmental research. https://www.agrobrc-rare.org/. The microbial pillar of AgroBRC-RARe is made up of CIRM and the SAMBO platform of Metagenopolis (http://mgps.eu/offer/sambo/?lang=fr)

CIRM is a founding member of the European research infrastructure MIRRI (Microbial Resources Research Infrastructure, https://www.mirri.org/ ), which brings together more than 50 collections of microorganisms in 11 European countries and organises access to more than 400,000 strains of fungi, algae, yeasts and bacteria and to associated characterisation services.

MIRRI is awaiting ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) status.

CIRM's affiliation to international collection networks

CIRM is affiliated with several international networks such as the WDCM (World data Center for Microorganisms, http://www.wdcm.org/ ) or ECCO (European Culture Collections Organisation, https://www.eccosite.org/ ) that promote collaboration and exchange of ideas and information on all aspects of culture collection.  They are sources of information for users of microbiological resources.

Through AgroBRC-RARe, CIRM is a member of the GGBN (Global Genome Biodiversity Network, https://www.ggbn.org/ggbn_portal/) which promotes collaborations between BRCs to ensure quality standards, and harmonise the exchange of microbiological material in accordance with national and international legislation and conventions.
